At the Hanna Gender Center, we solely address the needs of the transgender and non-binary populace. This masculinizing chest surgery involves removing excess tissue so you can feel more at home in your body. If you’re interested in female-to-male (FTM) top surgery, you can be confident in the expertise, compassion, and patient-centric support available from our gender-affirming clinic.
Dr. Dany Hanna is one of the leading gender-affirmation surgeons in the country and he currently performs the FTM top surgery procedures at the Hanna Gender Center. He understands the technical nuances required for this procedure and will work with you to achieve a natural appearing, sculpted masculine chest. If desired, we can remove extra tissue to achieve a naturally appearing flatter chest.
Dr. Hanna performs several technical variations of top surgeries to accommodate your unique needs. The exact surgical plan for your goals will be discussed during your top surgery consultation.
This technique is ideal for people who are small-chested but have elastic skin. We make a small incision along the bottom of the areola to remove breast tissue.
We recommend this chest masculinization surgery for people who expect to need an intermediate amount of skin removal. The incision is made in the areolar area.
This is the most common technique used for medium or large breasted individuals. During this, there are two incisions made along the nipple cranial and inframammary fold.
This technique completely removes the nipple and grafts it back to your chest after we finish removing the breast tissue.
Before we move forward with any FTM top surgery, we always recommend scheduling a consultation with our doctor. During this session, you’ll have time to discuss your preference and decide on the best surgery style for your current body type and end goals.
